Vendor Listing Standards
These Standards describe what a listing must meet before it publishes on Unveil, and what it must continue to meet to stay live. They apply in addition to the Vendor Marketplace Agreement. Unveil determines, in its discretion, whether a listing meets these Standards, and meeting them does not guarantee publication or continued listing.
1. Before a Listing Publishes
Every Vendor, regardless of category, must meet the following before a listing goes live:
- Complete Unveil's onboarding and identity/business verification process.
- Provide a current pricing document (not a marketing brochure or rate card) that Unveil can verify against the listing's displayed pricing.
- Provide proof of insurance meeting the minimums in the Vendor Marketplace Agreement and any category requirements below: at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate in general liability coverage naming With Unveil, Inc. as an additional insured, plus workers' compensation, disability, and paid family leave coverage where required by law.
- Hold any license or permit required to operate in its category and jurisdiction (e.g., a venue's certificate of occupancy or event permit, a caterer's health permit).
- Send current proof of insurance, licenses, and permits before the listing publishes and again at least once a year, and send updated proof within seven (7) days of a request or of any change.
- Submit only genuine photographs of its own work or property — not stock images, marketing renders, or another business's portfolio, and confirm it has the right to license them to Unveil (including from the photographer, where the photographer holds the copyright).
- Honor the price shown on the listing at the time a Couple books.
Unveil aims to publish listings based on confirmed details rather than invented or estimated ones. Where a detail cannot be verified, the listing may show an empty state (e.g., "Confirm with venue") rather than a placeholder value.
Category-Specific Standards
Venues
- Minimum of 10 high-quality photographs showing the ceremony space, reception space, and at least one detail/ambience shot.
- Verified guest-capacity figures for both ceremony and reception configurations, where applicable.
- A pricing structure that discloses what is and is not included (e.g., tables/chairs, catering exclusivity, overtime fees) — not a single "starting at" number with no breakdown.
- Disclosed cancellation and rebooking policy, per the Vendor Marketplace Agreement.
- Liquor liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate where alcohol is served or sold on site.
Photography and Videography
- 15 minimum portfolio photographs demonstrating the vendor's own recent work, spanning at least 2 full weddings or events.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Disclosed package tiers with clear inclusions (hours of coverage, number of shooters, edited-image or footage count).
- Disclosed delivery and usage-rights policy, per the Vendor Marketplace Agreement (image/footage ownership, license scope, delivery timeline).
- If using drones: FAA Part 107 certification and drone liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence.
Hair and Makeup
- Minimum of 10 portfolio photographs of the vendor's own completed work.
- Disclosed service area and travel-fee structure, if applicable.
- Disclosed trial policy (whether a trial is included, and its cost if not).
- Hold any cosmetology, esthetics, or other license required by law in each state where the vendor performs services.
- Professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
As Unveil adds vendor categories beyond these three, Unveil expects to publish category-specific standards consistent with the general principles in this document before onboarding vendors in that category.
2. Keeping a Listing Live
To remain listed, a Vendor must continue to meet the following on an ongoing basis:
- Honor confirmed Bookings and communicate with Couples in a timely manner.
- Keep pricing, availability, and listing content current — a Vendor must promptly update its listing when pricing or availability changes.
- Maintain the insurance and licensing required for its category.
- Maintain a standard of service consistent with Couple feedback and reviews; Unveil may review feedback, cancellation patterns, and complaints on an ongoing basis.
- Continue to disclose an accurate cancellation policy and, where applicable, delivery/usage-rights policy.
- Respond to Unveil and to Couple inquiries about a Booking within 2 business days. Unveil encourages responses within 24 hours.
- Cooperate with Unveil's reviews, audits, and requests to verify pricing, insurance, licenses, and Booking records.
- Do not write, pay for, or incentivize reviews of your own services, and do not retaliate against a Couple for a review.
- Offer services to all Couples and their guests on equal terms, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by law, including serving same-sex couples whether or not applicable law would otherwise permit a Vendor to decline. A Vendor may still decline a Booking for legitimate reasons unrelated to these characteristics, such as availability or capacity.
3. Enforcement
Where a Vendor or listing falls short of these Standards, Unveil may, at its discretion and depending on severity:
- Request corrected information or documentation before the listing remains visible;
- Temporarily unpublish the listing pending correction;
- Issue a warning; or
- Suspend or terminate the listing under the Vendor Marketplace Agreement, for repeated or serious violations.
Except where immediate action is needed to protect Couples or the Platform, Unveil generally will tell the Vendor what needs to change and give a reasonable opportunity to respond before unpublishing or removing a listing. A Vendor may ask Unveil to review a decision by contacting support@withunveil.com.
Significant changes to a listing (pricing, capacity, ownership, or category) require re-review against these Standards before the change goes live.
Unveil may update these Standards at any time and will give reasonable notice of material changes. Unveil's decisions under these Standards are made in its discretion, and publication or continued listing is not a guarantee of any outcome. Unveil may suspend a listing and pause payouts immediately, without prior notice, where it suspects fraud, an insurance or license lapse, or a risk to Couples.
